雖然人去不了CSDS ，但 Kevin Harder 有整理給大家看，我順道做點整理

CommunityServer 無法授權移轉

在官方網站有人討論到，是否可以將授權(License)移轉或販售給其他人，經過官方回答是 "不行" 的，根據EULA裡面有提到

You may not sublicense, re-license, resell, rent or lease any edition or version of the SOFTWARE except under the terms of a Service Provider License Agreement and/or a Reseller Agreement, as applicable.

不過實際上，若是您將授權移轉/販售給他人，除了法律上的問題外，官方對於支援服務也是會跟隨原本購買者

對於這點我是認為無法移轉授權可以保障 Telligent 的獲利與避免買到無效授權的保障，但是相對如果買了授權後，發覺不合用或不再使用，購買的一大筆錢救丟進垃圾場了，是比較不合乎人情的，相對的也讓想買授權的人，會更加猶豫

即將變更的 Community Server 2008

過幾天要召開的第一次 Community Server 研發者會議 (CSDC)，將討論更多 Community Server 2008 的好工具.官方將做一些決定讓社群更大.

1. 移除虛擬化: 虛擬化可以讓許多網站使用相同的資料庫 (如 themes 和 cs 官方網站用同一個使用者資料庫，這就是虛擬化)，不過因為使用的人數相當少，由於虛擬化更需要許多的同步(檔案，安裝等等)，其實要真正完整虛擬化相當困難。官方於 Commnity Server 2007.1 中改善效率時，也發現虛擬化將程式碼切割造成效率減低，所以決定將虛擬化功能移除 (到時將會提供一個小程式讓原本虛擬化的網站切割開來)
* 註: 我個人也覺得會用到虛擬化的網站很少，除非是相當大的網站而且又想跑同步使用者，不然很容易陷入維護的困境，並且同時要兩個網站的授權，成本也要不少

2. 移除使用者選擇網站主題: 同樣於虛擬化，發現很少網站許可使用者自己選擇網站主題，大都是管理員選擇好主題，所以決定移除此功能 ( Blog 擁有者還是可以選擇自己的主題 )
* 註: 這樣決定就對了，很少管理員喜歡使用者自己設定他網站的主題吧，而且使用者應該也沒那種空選擇他喜歡的畫面

3. 移除 reader 應用程式: 發現有些網站啟用了這功能，但是官方發現他並不適合於這個平台上，所以決定這應用程式將不會於Community Server上，官方計畫將獨立一個 RSS reader，並計畫公開於 2008 夏天
* 註:於 CS 2.x 加入了這個和其他系統一點都不搭的功能，而且使用者與管理員也不會喜歡跑到某個網站看其他網站的RSS吧，雖然拿掉了有點不捨，但這功能我倒是覺得真的很少用到
